The only instance in which we allow gaylord containers on the network is for shipments of cores to our vendor partner, G-Cor. Recently seen an increase in the number of these containers being either overloaded with cores, and/or in boxes that are far from secure.

Please use the guide below as your process when shipping Gaylords in the network. In the interest of safety and protecting other shipments, drivers have been instructed to deny shipments of gaylords that are not packaged in the following manner:

Team PRP Gaylord Guideline

1. Use a minimum 2-ply Gaylord Container
2. Place Gaylord on a good Hardwood Pallet that fits
3. Use a plastic container sleeve
4. Do not fill to the top of the box
5. Fill with 2500 lbs. or less
6. Wrap/Enclose top of box
7. Use 3 horizontal bands - low, middle, and high
8. Use 2+ Vertical bands
