1. Inspect and Clean

1. 1. Confirm part description and interchange information on work order matches the part and any special instructions have been completed
   2. Check other assembly components:
      1. Hoods
         1. Ensure under side heat shield is intact
         2. Hinges are to be included unless otherwise noted
         3. Latch is to be included - check for bends / rust
      2. Doors
         1. Handle is to be included and working unless otherwise noted
         2. Hinges are to be included unless welded or otherwise noted
         3. Mirrors are not included and should not be shipped attached to doors
      3. Decklids / tailgates
         1. Ensure lighting is in tact and described accordingly
         2. Ensure trim panel / liner is in tact
         3. Hinges are to be included unless otherwise noted
      4. Fenders
         1. Liners are not required unless otherwise noted
            1. If included, liners should be 100% intact
      5. Bumpers
         1. Rebar & absorber (if applicable)
         2. Grilles
         3. Lighting
   3. Any loose broken glass in assemblies must be removed prior to sale - remnants must be covered using duct tape to prevent harm while handling
   4. Remove all stickers, tape, glue residue
      1. Small typical dealership decals are OK to leave
   5. Remove any other cosmetic aftermarket materials
      1. Decorative air dams
      2. Window rain guards
      3. Window tinting
      4. Fender flares etc.
   6. Thoroughly wash and degrease body components inside and out
      1. Trim panels / interior components  included in assemblies must be cleaned and free of trash & debris

2. Tagging and Identification

1. 1. Ensure the stock number is written in an inconspicuous place

3. Shipping

1. 1. Large / oversize body panels may be shipped using appropriately sized pallets if desired
   2. Any door or tailgate which fits inside Panel Armor must be shipped as such unless Panel Armor is not available. 
      1. Any Panel Armor shortages should be immediately reported to the ERUG distribution list. Panel Armor levels should be monitored regularly and reported at the end of each month in the Exception Report
   3. Fenders, decklids and hoods are not required to be wrapped for shipping, at a minimum they should be secured and enclosed between padding for transport.
      1. Edge protectors serve as a simple form of protection against the most typical types of damage incurred when shipping body panels.
   4. Use a pallet that is appropriately sized to match the part being shipped
   5. Avoid using pallets that are too big for the part being shipped as they needlessly take up transportation space
   6. To protect parts from side impact damage during transportation, body parts should not overhang the sides of the pallet
   7. Use no fewer than two binding straps to secure the part to the pallet - use a buffer like cardboard or styrofoam to prevent the strap from damaging painted surfaces
